Service Matters has been at the heart of Roscommon since Vincent and Margie Collins established the company in 1997. Now a national business with branches in Dublin, Limerick and Tyrone, Roscommon is still very much centre of operations and the business headquarters. Now employing over ninety people, the business is a significant employer in our county.
In review of the past twelve months since the pandemic took hold, Vincent reflects: “The past year has certainly been unprecedented for us all. At the start of 2020, we were looking forward to another successful year here at Service Matters, with a very positive outlook. However, as we plan for the future, we are glad to have survived everything that Covid-19 has thrown at us. When the pandemic took hold, we set ourselves some key objectives: look after our staff, look after our customers and keep the business operating.
“I am delighted that we have been able to keep the business open and operational, and that we have managed to retain most of our staff. We have used our capacity to launder garments for the healthcare sector, and extended our PPE range to include products like launderable and disposable masks, as well as special Covid-19 message mats, highlighting the importance of social distancing. Products are available both in our store on the Golf Links Road in Roscommon Town, and on our online store”.
As Ireland’s leading independent hygiene rental, washroom and work-wear specialist, Service Matters is in a unique position to assist local businesses, schools and clubs with their hygiene needs – whether currently open or planning to reopen. The company has also kindly supported Ireland’s frontline workers by donating supplies of sanitisers and cleaning products to local nursing homes and organisations that assist vulnerable people throughout the Roscommon area.
Vincent notes: “Here in Service Matters, we have a full range of PPE, cleaning products and equipment, as well as washroom consumables to meet customer needs. If you require our assistance with advice, products or services, please get in touch and will do our best to help you find the right hygiene and PPE products”.
Vincent concluded, saying: “We are proud to have ourselves firmly rooted in Roscommon, and we look forward to a brighter future for us all. #RoscommonTogether”.
