Roscommon brother and sister star in ‘Dragon’

Roscommon brother and sister, Ruadhán and Molly Mew, starred in comedy musical ‘Dragon’ by Fizz and Chips Productions at last weekend’s Galway Theatre Festival. Both have roots in Roscommon County Youth Theatre, managed by artistic director Catherine Sheridan.

Actor, musician, and Karate instructor Ruadhán Mew began playing guitar at six years of age. He went on to perform with Pickles Theatre Company touring Europe where he co-founded Fizz and Chips Productions and now lives in Dublin teaching Karate in Hombu Dojo. He wrote the entire musical score of Dragon.

Molly has recently graduated from Technological University of Dublin’s Conservatoire of Music and Drama with a Bachelors degree in Drama (Performance). Dragon marks her debut theatre performance since graduating. She has also starred in Fizz and Chip’s Irish language short film Fatíos which will be screened in film festivals later this year.

Dragon follows the life of Setanta, an Irish man in his late twenties who loves Tinder, coffee dates, and talking about dragons.
