Louth stroll secures semi-final spot!

Littlewoods National Camogie League Division Four (Round 2)

Roscommon 4-21  Louth 0-1

Roscommon are through to the Division Four semi-finals following this comprehensive win at Darver last Saturday. Frank Browne’s team were never in trouble as they brushed aside the feeble challenge of the home side. The scoring stars on the day were Shauna Fallon who grabbed 1-12 and Lena Gacquin who helped herself to 2-3.

Nicola Crean scored Roscommon’s first goal in the opening half and by the interval the visitors led by 1-11 to no score. The one-way traffic continued in the second half and further Roscommon goals from Shauna Fallon and two from Lena Gacquin completed the rout.

Roscommon travel to Kildare this weekend in the knowledge that they have already qualified for the play-off stages and that one of the aims of the new management team, to secure promotion from this division, remains very much on target.
