The National Lottery has confirmed that the €6,489,165 Lotto jackpot winner from May 22nd has made come forward. The winning ticket was purchased at the Applegreen Service Station at the Arcadia Retail Park in Athlone.
A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to confirm that the Lotto winner who scooped the €6.4 million jackpot on Saturday, May 22nd has made contact with our prize claims team. We are now in the process of making arrangements for the jackpot prize to be paid”.
On June 5th, an online player in Galway won the €2,475,303 jackpot to make it three consecutive jackpot wins over the course of three weekends.
Meanwhile, Lotto players in Ballinasloe are being urged to check their tickets after one player came within one number of claiming the €4,420,184 prize in the draw on Wednesday, June 30th. The ticket matched five numbers and the bonus to win €40,667 and was purchased at Ashtree Stores in Cleaghmore, Ballinasloe on Monday, June 26th.
The National Lottery spokesperson said: “We are encouraging all of our Lotto players in Galway to check their tickets carefully today, as one lucky ticket holder has a ticket worth €40,667. The winner in the west matched five numbers and the bonus, which meant they were just one number away from scooping the €4,420,184 jackpot in the Wednesday night draw.
“The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and make contact with our prize claims team on 1800-666222 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Arrangements will then be made for the winner to collect their prize”.
