Gardai to host annual Harvest Gathering next week

 

The 2017 Annual Harvest Gathering hosted by local Gardai will be held in Fourmilehouse on Wednesday next, 4th of October.

  This event for older persons in County Roscommon is organised by the community policing units in Roscommon, Castlerea, Boyle and Ballaghaderreen.

  The event will commence with Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Fourmilehouse at 12 noon and this will be followed by refreshments and age appropriate information stands in Kilbride Community Centre. Older people in Roscommon are invited.

  Entertainment  will be provided by the Garda Band and also by well-known local musicians Jimmy Kearney and Frank Nelson.

  Refreshments and spot prizes have been kindly donated by local businesses throughout the county. The policing units in question have expressed their appreciation for this continued support.

  Also involved on what is sure to be a very enjoyable day will be Transition Year students from The Convent of Mercy Secondary School, Roscommon.
