Roscommon Gardaí are appealing for information regarding two burglaries in recent days and are currently examining if the incidents are linked.
The first incident occurred in the Dysart area at around 3.45 pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Thieves gained entry to a private house by forcing a window, and investigating officers are assessing what items were stolen.
It is believed a dark-coloured car, similar to an Audi A4, may be linked to the incident.
Gardaí are also investigating an attempted break-in at a house in Roscommon town on Monday last.
It is believed that at least four men attempted to break into a property on Wilson Close on the Galway Road at around 2.30 pm.
Gardaí understand that one of the men was wearing a grey suit, while all four men were wearing hats and scarves.
The intruders were disturbed by a person in the house, which was occupied at the time, and fled to a nearby field.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 2 pm and 3 pm on Monday to contact them at Roscommon Garda Station on 090-6638300.
