Dooner's weekend predictions - December 7th

This promises to be the biggest weekend so far in the Roscommon & District Football League this season.

  In the Premier Division on Friday night, Ballinasloe Town entertain Ballymoe while Boyle Celtic travel to face Castlerea Celtic.

  In Division Two, second-placed Roscommon United face third-placed Castlerea Celtic B in Castlerea on Saturday evening.

  Elsewhere, Moylough ’79 will be confident of continuing their unbeaten start to the season when they visit Ballinasloe on Saturday.

 

Friday, December 7th

 

Raftery’s Oakland Hotel Premier Division (8 pm)

Ballinasloe Town v Ballymoe FC

The hosts will be heavy favourites.

Castlerea Celtic v Boyle Celtic

A very tough one to call in Castlerea. An entertaining draw?

Saturday, December 8th

 

Norio’s Takeaway Division One

Ballinasloe Town B v Moylough ’79. 7.45 pm       

The league leaders should be comfortable winners.

Prediction: Moylough ‘79

Killeen Sports Grounds Division Two

Castlerea Celtic B v Roscommon United. 7.45 pm

The head to head could prove vital in this division so the visitors could do with a comfortable win. However, the hosts will be confident of getting a result following their 4-2 win in the reverse fixture.

Sunday, December 9th

 

Raftery’s Oakland Hotel Premier Division

St. Peter’s FC v Moore United. 11 am        

The champions will prevail.

Skyvalley Rovers v Kilkerrin United. 2 pm

Kilkerrin could find themselves in the top four if results go their way this weekend.

St. John’s Athletic v Ballaghaderreen FC. 11 am

St. John’s are capable of winning this one.

CP Ajax v Dunmore Town. 2 pm

The Castleplunkett side will follow up on last weekend’s impressive win over St. John’s Athletic.

Rahara Rovers v Ahascragh United. 2 pm 

The hosts should have enough to claim the three points.

Skyvalley Rovers B v Shiven Rovers B. 11 am

St. Cuan’s United v Manor United. 2 pm   

The visitors will be confident here.
