Dooner's weekend predictions - April 5th

Ballinasloe Town and Glen Celtic upset the predictions last weekend and enjoyed very impressive wins in the Challenge Cup and Connacht Shield respectively.

  Meanwhile, Boyle Celtic crashed out of the Connacht Cup following a 2-1 defeat after extra-time against Manulla.

  This Friday, Ballinasloe travel to Shiven in the Premier Division Cup last eight while St. Peter’s entertain Boyle Celtic in the pick of the matches on Saturday.

 

Friday, April 5th

Kilkerrin United v Ballymoe FC. 8 pm

The visitors will be favourites this Friday evening.

Hanly Quarries Premier Division Cup Quarter-Final

Shiven Rovers v Ballinasloe Town. 8 pm           

The Town are formidable in cup competitions as they proved against Castlerea last weekend.

Raftery’s Oakland Hotel Premier Division/Hanly Quarries Premier Division Cup Round One           

At Lecarrow: St. Peter’s FC v Boyle Celtic. 7 pm           

This promises to be a cracking tie between two of the best sides in the top flight. The champions will start as favourites.

Moore United v Strokestown United. 7.45 pm           

Home win.

Cloonfad United v Dysart FC. 11 am

The hosts should pick up three points at the expense of relegated Dysart.

Castlerea Celtic v Ballinasloe Town. 2 pm           

Castlerea will be hoping for some revenge this weekend and it will all depend on how Ballinasloe come through their cup game on Friday night.

A comfortable Ballagh’ win.

Glen upset the predictions last weekend with a fine win over Mervue United B. They are tipped to pick up three league points this weekend.
