Liberty Insurance Premier Junior Camogie Semi-Final
Roscommon v Limerick at Cusack Park, Ennis on Saturday at 4 pm
Roscommon’s Junior Camogie side is one step away from an All-Ireland final appearance in Croke Park when they face Limerick in the semi-final on Saturday. When the sides met in the league earlier in the year there was only a point between the teams so Roscommon are confident that they can win this time around.
Roscommon manager Karol Collins is very happy with the response that he has got from the Roscommon players and is confident that his charges can get to that final in Croke Park.
“Preparations have gone really well. We have lost Niamh Farrell (injured) and Niamh Watson (away) and those are huge blows for us but the rest of the girls are determined to make up for those losses.
“I have been very impressed by this group of Roscommon girls. They have done everything we have asked of them and I couldn’t expect any more. There is a huge prize for the winners on Saturday and this group deserves to get to a final in Croke Park for all the work they have put in. If we play to our potential on the day we can win it. It would be a huge boost to the game in Roscommon if we can get to the final,” concluded the Oranmore man.
This is a very well coached and well prepared Roscommon team and they know that they can win this semi-final if they can perform on the day. A final date beckons.
