Tarmonbarry Village is to receive an award in this year’s National Tidy Towns competition at a ceremony in the Helix Centre, Dublin on the 25th of September.
The Tarmonbarry Tidy Towns secretary Tom Crosby says this is great news for Tarmonbarry village, parish and surrounding areas.
“This coveted award will continue to enhance business and tourism in what is now one of the busiest villages in the West of Ireland” he said.
Mr. Crosby said that on behalf of the Tidy Towns Development and Residents committee he would like to extend a sincere thanks to everyone (including his committee colleagues) who has contributed over the years in making Tarmonbarry “such a lovely and scenic village for tourists, locals and the many new people and families that have come to live in Tarmonbarry over the last few years.”
Mr. Crosby extended a very special thanks to the small and dedicated number of FAS and Rural social workers who he said “are very dedicated and committed.”
