County Roscommon Disability Support Group (RSG) CLG sincerely thanks all collectors and those who generously contributed to their recent church gate collection in Roscommon town. The total amount raised was €1,319.36.

A public Rosary for Ireland

Feel Good event at Abbey Fitness

As part of FeelGood Week with Pieta House (October 20th to 27th), an Aqua Aerobics FeelGood event will take place at Abbey Health and Fitness Club in Roscommon town on Thursday, October 25th at 10 am. Pieta House is encouraging people to come together throughout FeelGood Week in order to raise funds for the charity. Athleague Apostolic Workers’ fundraiser

Athleague Apostolic Workers are holding their annual fundraiser, including raffle and ‘Kidz Corner’ in aid of the Missions on Sunday, October 14th in Athleague Community Centre after €10 o’clock Mass. Donations of cakes, tarts and jams will be gratefully accepted at the centre on Saturday 13th from 3 pm to 5 pm. The raffle will take place on Sunday and lines cost €2 each or three for €5. 1st prize is a hamper sponsored by Martin Conneally, 2nd prize is €100 cash and 3rd prize is a bottle of brandy. There will be other prizes on the day and all monies go directly to the Mission. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Supper Social in aid of Boyle COI

A fundraising Supper Social in aid of Boyle Church of Ireland will be held in the Four Provinces Lounge in Rathallen, Boyle on  Friday, October 12th at 9 pm. Admission is €10.

Portrunny Heritage Trail launch

Minister for Communications, Climate Action and the Environment, Denis Naughten, will officially launch the Portrunny Heritage Trail at the Portrunny Bay amenity this Saturday (13th) at 3 pm. The launch follows the installation of interpretative signage across nine sites earlier this year. The trail itself was established by Portrun Development Association in an effort to mark not only the local heritage sites but also to improve the experience of visitors to the area. You are invited to attend and celebrate the launch with Portrun Development Association this Saturday.

Al-Anon meetings in Castlerea

Al-Anon Family Group meetings take place in Cuan Aire Family Centre on St. Patrick’s Street in Castlerea every Thursday evening at 8 pm. The meetings offer help and hope to families and friends of alcoholics and problem drinkers. For more information please contact 089-4369910.
