Mass for Liam Gilmartin in Knockcroghery

St. Dominic’s GAA Club will hold a special mass in memory of the late Liam Gilmartin and all the members of Roscommon’s 1943 and 1944 All-Ireland winning team in Knockcroghery Parish Church this Saturday (13th) at 11 am. All are welcome to attend.

 

Almost €10k raised for Hospice!

The total amount raised in Roscommon following the recent National Sunflower Day for Hospice was €9,922.44. Your generous support is most appreciated. All funds raised will go to supporting local Hospice palliative care services and the construction of the new Roscommon Hospice building.

 

Clean-up at Kilcroan Cemetery

The next clean-up of Kilcroan Cemetery will take place this Sunday (14th). The rota is as follows: Rosaleen Timothy, Bernadette Griffin, Carmel Waldron, Mary Collins, Marian Keegan, Caroline Hegarty, Assumpta Ward, Kathleen Finneran, Chris Tiernan, Michael Lyons, Paddy Joe Fahy, John Morgan, Tommy Connaughton, Philip Gunning, Tom Waldron. Shane Conneely, Seàn O’Brien, Howard Simpson, Brendan Keegan and Gabriel Dolan.

‘Hot to Trot’ charity pony drive

The annual ‘Hot to Trot’ pony drive will take place on Sunday, August 4th in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA). The ponies are leaving from Frenchpark, Co. Roscommon at 3 pm sharp. Join them afterwards at Farrell’s Lounge in Frenchpark for traditional music, a raffle and light refreshments. Walk/run fundraiser in Taughmaconnell

The Taughmaconnell Special Needs Association is holding its annual 5km and 8.5km walk/run this Saturday (13th) at 4 pm from Killeen Pub, Togher, Taughmaconnell with registration commencing at 3.15 pm. Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle on the day. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Comhaltas session in Doorly’s Pub

The Roscommon town branch of Comhaltas will hold its next monthly session in Doorly’s Pub, Roscommon town this Sunday evening from 6 pm until about 8.30 pm. All are welcome.
