Timothy’s Londis Plus, Abbeytown, Co. Roscommon was a proud winner of a Gold Award at the Londis Retailing Excellence Awards 2012, crowning the final day of the Group’s conference, which recognised the strong role that Londis Retailers play in their respective communities, providing employment, sourcing local products, supporting local causes and servicing the needs of the communities in which they operate.

In winning this award, the store was independently audited across a range of criteria including the emphasis placed on customer care, the quality of their fresh food offering, the depth and breadth of their product range, and the store’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

Timothy’s Londis Plus, Abbeytown, received their award in recognition of their commitment to implementing exceptionally high standards throughout their store, thereby providing an excellent consumer experience to their local community.

This year’s Awards were announced at the Group’s Annual Conference held at The Malton Hotel in Killarney. One of the big messages from this year’s conference related to the Group’s launch of its Centralised Chill offering which increases the range of products available to Londis consumers.

Many regional and niche Irish brands which previously were only available at local level, will now be available to Londis consumers nationwide, bringing a new vitality to every Londis retailer’s offering.
