Roscommon Harriers Athletic Club host their 5th annual 10 Mile Road Race on Saturday, July 7th at 11.30 am from Hannon’s Hotel, Athlone Road, Roscommon.

Voted as one of the top five 10 Mile Road races in Ireland four years in a row by ‘Running in Ireland’, the race has gone from strength to strength, and has quickly become one of the major destination races in the running calendar.

Now part of the inaugural Kia Series for 2018, the race is set to attract elite runners both nationally and internationally.

With registration sold out three weeks prior to race day, an estimated 700 runners from all over Ireland are taking to the roads of Roscommon for what promises to be an exciting race! The race itself offers runners a flat and fast course taking in scenic Mote Park, with a bonus cash prize for new course records on the day.

Organisers are encouraging the people of Roscommon to come out and support the runners on route.

“Our race is known as one of the friendliest in the country and the reason why our numbers continue to grow each year!”
