Marty Morrissey, Shane Owens and Brendan Shine are amongst the big attractions in Brideswell for the annual Pattern Festival.
It starts this Thursday, July 23rd with the official opening in O’Connell’s pub. Traditonal music on the night and all musicians are welcome.
Right through from Thursday to Monday we have an action-packed schedule of events that once again will leave everyone with fond memories of their visit to the heartland of South Roscommon.
These include Céilí Mor on Thursday with The Anally Céilí Band, the much-anticipated ‘The Cube’ with MC Marty Morrissey on Friday and so much more!
On Saturday activities include a walk in association with the local defibrillator group, a family cycle and an adult cycle.
There’s a special tour of Derryglad Folk Museum too – and a GAA Blitz!
On Saturday night Ireland’s newest country sensation Shane Owens and his band perform (with Sean Brennan).
On Sunday 26th July there’s an action-packed schedule of events starting with the Annual Pattern Mass at 12 noon in the village followed by a cake sale in aid of Brideswell National School and Wheel of Fortune.
There will also be children’s workshops, entertainment and amusements, and traditional stations and don’t forget at 4 pm we have Monstor Bingo with a prize fund of €2,500 doors open at 3.30.
On Pattern Sunday night Brideswell Pattern Festival committee have organised a special night with Brendan Shine and his band with Sean Brennan as a support act.
The festival ‘Scattering’ takes place on Monday 27th in Hamrock’s pub with a massive BBQ at 9 pm followed by music with ‘Tickle the Pig.’ Music in local pubs throughout the festival.
