Choosing your wedding hairdo can be stressful. While you want a style that’s fashionable, you also want something classic and timeless. What’s more important, you want a style that looks outstanding in your photographs and something that garners thousands of ‘likes’ and ‘fabulous’ comments on your social media page…meaning you need an updo that’s so sensational, it’ll outdo your  newlywed frenemies!

Now, as the rest of Ireland is waiting to see what type of wedding hair our gorgeous Roscommon brides will be rockin’ this year, we’re gonna help you channel those trends in order to generate a look that’ll be guaranteed to turn heads on your big day. So, what’re ya waitin’ for, grab a pen and paper and start takin’ notes…

Plaits (or braids) are big this season, created with intricately woven delicately face framing up styles that scream romance and intrigue.

Undone upstyles and free-flowing floaty locks are also de rigueur for the 2017 bride who desperately wants to be on trend, but who’s keen to please her elderly granny – meaning she’ll go for the classic chignon. This look is a kind of play on both, adding a laid-back, effortlessly flawless vibe to the blushing bride.

While there is always a huge variety of wedding hairstyles for the bride who has long flowing Rapunzel locks to choose from, there’s still plenty of choices for those with a pixie crop or short hair and so, if you don’t wish to go down the extension route, we’ve got a few inspirational tips for you to mull over. If you’ve got a short bob, which, let’s face it, is one of the chicest styles ever, have your stylist put some ‘undone’ waves into your do, a la Sarah Hyland (Haley from Modern Family).

If you’ve got a slightly longer bob, why not inject an extra dose of femininity and have your stylist wrap your hair in alternate directions to give you a 1920s vintage inspired style. Add a sprig of Baby’s Breath (Gypsophila) to fancy it up.

A short do looks stunning when dressed up with a glittering diamanté tiara or pearl headband; or why not opt for some fresh flowers to add that perfect hint of charm to your overall look which will scream fashionable, modern bride.

Whichever look you go for, we know, as a Roscommon bride, you’ll be absolutely fabulous.
