Cattle: Smaller number of cattle on offer than the previous week, the harsh weather conditions having an impact on the number on offer. Prices remained the same as previous week with good quality lots in strong demand. Plainer stock were harder to sell but with grass shortage farmers were anxious to sell. Heifers: Sim X 495 kgs €710, Sim X 545 kgs €700, Ch X 300 kgs €495, 2 Lim X 415 kgs €685. Bullocks: Ch X 520 kgs €910, Lim X 365 kgs €620, Lim X 500 kgs €865, Ch X 420 kgs €790. Large number of cattle required weekly to satisfy demand from new and existing buyers.
Sheep: Very large sale with large number of stag ewes and spring lambs on offer. Stag ewes remained firm trade with spring lambs and hoggets easier trade to previous week.
Spring lambs: Six lambs at 51 kgs €100, 13 lambs at 42 kgs €85; nine lambs at 38 kgs €76, 17 lambs at 45 kgs €91.50, two lambs at 53 kgs €105, nine lambs at 44 kgs €90.50, ten lambs at 41.5 kgs €83. Hoggets: Four ewe hoggets at 60 kgs €123, 14 wether hoggets at 51.5 kgs €85, 11 wether hoggets at 48 kgs €82.50. Stag ewes: Large numbers met with strong trade. Prices ranged from €50 to €104. Ewes with lambs at foot: Four second crop ewes with six lambs at foot €150. Three first crop ewes with three lambs at foot €124. Three third crop ewes with three lambs at foot €96.

There were 650 cattle on offer and an increased number of buyers present, resulting in a slightly improved trade for all classes of stock on offer. Heifers: B. Blue 455 kgs €1,220, Red Lim 510 kgs €900, Sim 480 kgs €815, B. Sim 455 kgs €860, B. Lim 555 kgs €900, R. Lim 415 kgs €750, AA 570 kgs €820, AA 420 kgs €595.
