‘We need a new start’ – Ganley

Ireland needs a new political party with fresh ideas on how to tackle the jobs crisis, businessman and Leader of Libertas Declan Ganley told a public meeting in Roscommon’s Abbey Hotel on Sunday 3rd May. Mr. Ganley is standing as a candidate in the Ireland North West constituency in the forthcoming European Elections.
Mr. Ganley had earlier spent several hours touring Roscommon Lamb Festival in the Square where he met voters and heard their concerns on the economy and local issues, before the evening meeting which was attended by around 100 local people.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Ganley said: “The concerns of people in Roscommon are the same concerns we hear everywhere. Unemployment is rising, taxes are rising, and confidence is falling. We need a new start in this country, and we need a new political party to tackle the crisis head on. Libertas is a party of real people. We are businesspeople, farmers, and concerned citizens. Our candidates have the experience we need in this time of crisis. I’m a businessman, I know how to create employment, and I know that we need to cut the red tape and make it easier for ordinary small businesses to retain and create jobs.”
