Ming disappointed as billboard ‘not available’

Cllr. Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan this week expressed disappointment and upset that one of the three billboards in Castlerea, which he had booked for election ads, is no longer available because, he claims, the landlord has stated that they don’t want it to be used for any election advertising.

During the last local election campaign, Cllr. Flanagan booked all three of the town’s billboards from JC Decaux as a central part of his advertising campaign. Two and a half years ago, he again booked all three, but was recently informed that one of the billboards is not available because the landlord has asked that it not be used for election ads.

He is now in talks with the billboard company about the matter. Cllr. Flanagan began his house-to-house canvass in the Castlerea area a week ago and his canvass campaign is continuing this week.
