Cuisle Holiday Centre, the national holiday centre for the Irish Wheelchair Association, in Donamon, is currently looking for volunteers and a recruitment evening will take place on Monday next, February 23rd between 5.30 and 7 pm.
Cuisle Holiday Centre will be hosting an open evening to attract new volunteers to participate in the vital work carried out by the Irish Wheelchair Association. The event will consist of an information evening and commences at 5.30 pm to 7 pm at Cuisle Holiday Centre in Donamon.
Jean Coleman, Centre Manager said, “We encourage anyone who has a special skill or talent that they can offer, or simply time to spare to attend the evening. Cuisle is not only a holiday centre we also offer assisted living services, resource and outreach service, motoring and transport, and much more. We are asking people to come along and hear about the many different opportunities where people can volunteer their time or skills.”
“Volunteering at Cuisle was a very rewarding experience for me. I enjoyed my time there immensely and would recommend it to anyone who has time to spare – it’s a real win win situation,” said volunteer Angela Gavigan.
“Without a doubt we have gained a lot and it certainly outweighs the time we have given help,” said volunteer Sheila Fitzmaurice, Roscommon IWA Branch member.
