Cummins and Doherty selected for Boyle FF

Sitting councillors John Cummins and Rachel Doherty were selected by Fianna Fáil HQ recently to contest the local elections in the Boyle area.

Councillor John Cummins was first elected in 1999. He was the Chairman of Roscommon Partnership Board for four years and is a current Director with the Roscommon Integrated Development Company. He is a member of the Board of Management of the Boyle Ladies Football Club. He is a full-time representative. He is married to Patricia and they have two children, Sinead and Áine.

Councillor Rachel Doherty was first elected in 2004. She is a member of the Planning Strategic Policy Committee on Roscommon County Council and a member of the County Roscommon Tourism Forum. She is involved in a number of community organisations and is active in the promotion and development of tourism in the North Roscommon area.
