Business was brisk at the East West Travel stand at last Sunday’s wedding fair in the Abbey Hotel.
Anna May Gannon reported, “We were very pleased with the response we got on the day. There was a lot of interest shown in the honeymoons and holidays in general. We found it very good.
“At the wedding fair we promoted some sales which are ongoing at the moment. For example, low deposits per person and we have an offer of one free insurance per family holiday booked before the end of February.”
“We also have offers of free child places, so customers are advised to book early. Knock Airport is very popular again with customers and all holidays booked with us are one hundred percent bonded and licensed.”
East West also had a special draw on Sunday last at the wedding fair. Dinner for two sponsored by Etihad Airlines was won by Antoinette Doolin, while a car ferry return trip to the UK was won by Aoife Feeney from Longford. Julie Greene won a return Eurolines ticket to the UK and Eimear Kenny won a bottle of champagne.
“We were impressed by the turnout and we have been busy taking honeymoon requests ever since.
“Popular honeymoon destinations at the moment include the Maldives, Mauritius, South Africa and Australia and there is also a lot of interest in honeymoon cruises.”
This week Anna May also extended good wishes to the Roscommon Celebrity Jigs and Reels event which takes place in Kilbride Community Centre in March. The event aims to raise funds to send 50 local dancers to San Francisco for the All American dance championships in November, a trip booked through East West Travel, Stonecourt, Roscommon.
