Feast of action

There is a feast of action in Gaelic football this weekend with four attractive qualifiers in Croke Park and the Tommy Murphy Cup final also taking place.

Odds as follows: Down 4/7, Wexford 7/4, Draw 15/2; Fermanagh 8/11, Kildare 6/4, Draw 7/1; Kerry 2/7, Monaghan 3/1, Draw 10/1; Tyrone 4/7, Mayo 7/4, Draw 15/2. Tommy Murphy Final: Wicklow 4/7, Antrim 7/4, Draw 8/1.

The All Ireland hurling championship is now down to four teams and the latest betting is as follows: Kilkenny 5/6, Tipperary 5/2, Cork 11/2, Waterford 9/1.

Racing: The final leg of glorious Goodwood will take place on Saturday with the Nassau Stakes the feature. Betting as follows: 2/1 Lush Lashes, 9/2 Halfway to Heaven, 6/1 Passage of Time and Heaven Sent, 9/1 bar.

Two Irish trained horses are at the top of the betting and Jim Bolger, who won the race in 2005, seems to hold the ace here with Lush Lashes who has really good form.

Bet of the Week: Mayo at 7/4 to beat Tyrone look a real value bet to me, so this week we will have 20 on Mayo to beat Tyrone and qualify for the All Ireland quarter finals.
