One of the biggest live music festivals in the county this summer takes place on the bank holiday weekend in Loughglynn when four of Ireland’s most popular entertainers take to the stage in the local community centre for what promises to be a cracking weekend of super entertainment.
The funds raised will go towards the local community and the action will get underway on Friday night the 3rd of August with the one and only Patrick Feeney, who is one of the biggest draws on the Irish showband scene.
On Saturday evening at 8.30 pm the Queen of the Woodlands competition takes place and later on Saturday night the evergreen Brendan Shine will be on stage to bring his unique brand of music and craic to the festival.
On Sunday night August the 5th another of the ‘Three Amigos’ – the brilliant Robert Mizzell – will bring his own brand of country music to the stage. Then to finish the festival on Monday 6th of August dancers are in for a real treat as Jimmy Buckley and his band will take the stage for a super night of music and dancing. Dancing will take place each night from 12 midnight to 2 am. For more details log on to www.loughglynnfestival.com
