Mart Reports – Sheep Sale which took place on Wednesday June 20th
The numbers on offer were similar to the previous week with prices for lambs well maintained. The trade for StagEwes was improved with a full clearance of lots.
Lambs - Sample prices: 13 Lambs 45 kgs €102, 6 Lambs 50.50 kgs €106, 11 lambs 48.64 €107,12 lambs 48.92 kgs €105, 12 lambs 46.42 kgs €103. Stag Ewes made from €85 to €125 per lot.
Cattle Sale which took place on Friday 15th June
There was increased numbers on offer this week. The prices for Heifers and Bullocks remain solid with all lots sold. The trade for Dry Cows was well maintained with a full clearance. There was also a lively trade for Weanlings and Suckler Cows. Please note Weanlings and Suckler Cows will be sold on Fridays until further notice.
Dry Cows made from €1150 to €1710 per head. Sample Prices: AA 625 kgs €1150, Lim 660 kgs €1155, Lim 775 kgs €1710, Lim 595 kgs €1125. Cows with Calves at foot made from €1540 to €1720 per head. Heifers made from €465 to €940 over. Sample prices: Lim 565 kgs €1425, Char 670 kgs €1610, Char 610 kgs €1525, 2 Simm 348 kgs €980, Char 410 kgs €1235. Bullocks made from €570 to €875 over. Sample Prices AA 565 kgs €1200, Char 490 kgs €1285, 2 Char 453 kgs €1135, Char 420 kgs €1225, Lim X 585 kgs €1460, Lim 550 kgs €1345. Weanling Bulls made from €505 to €690 - Sample prices: Lim 290 kgs €850, Char 470 kgs €1080, Char 395 kgs €900, Char 430 kgs €1120.
