Cllr. Naughten welcomes plans for credit union in Monksland

Cllr. John Naughten has welcomed the news this week of plans by Athlone Credit Union to open a sub-office in Monksland. It is planned that the office, which is to be located close to SuperValu, will be open by October.

“The opening of a sub-office in this location is welcome news and will no doubt be of huge benefit to the large population living in Monksland,” stated Cllr. Naughten.

“The sub-office will join a number of other amenities and businesses - including a hotel, supermarket and other businesses – which all add to the attraction of the area. I understand that this office will provide a full range of credit union services and will no doubt be well received and utilised by local residents.”
