Clondra Irish girl guides achieve gold

On 12th May last six members of Clondra Irish Girl Guides received the most prestigious award in Guiding, The Gold Award. After four years of dedication and fun with their unit they have gained a wealth of experience in youth leadership, organization and preparation for their future. They learned how to respect and appreciate their surroundings and the value that every good turn will benefit not just themselves but the people around them.

In preparing for the Gold Award the girls were given targets in life skills, which they completed with diligence and commitment. They are the first in counties Longford and Roscommon to receive such an award. We are very proud of them and wish those doing their Junior Cert Exams every success. We look forward to the six girls joining the Senor Branch of the Irish Girl Guides in September.
