Soccer club notes

Castlerea Celtic AGM

The AGM of Castlerea Celtic FC will take place in the clubhouse on Friday 1st July at 8 pm.

CP Ajax

CP Ajax U14s were back in league action last Monday against Loughglynn

in Tarmon. We won 6-1. The U12 game against Dunmore was rescheduled due to a bereavement in Tarmon. On Thursday night the U11s had a comfortable win over Roscommon, two goals from Thomas OíRourke in the first half getting us of the mark, Jack Keane adding two more to leave the final score 4-0 to CP.

Our U10s were in the quarter-final of the Champions League in Shiven Friday night but went down 4-2 to a strong Shiven side Daniel Connolly and Padraic Conway scoring for CP.

The club extends its sympathies to the Flynn family on their recent bereavement.

St Johnís Athletic FC

The U12s played away at Kilkerinn on Tuesday of last week and two

goals from Jordan Cassidy and a penalty save from goalkeeper Cormac Miley

saw them leave with a fine point in a 2-2 draw. The U16s were back in action after a break and were beaten by 3-2 away at Shiven Rovers last Thursday evening, Thomas Hurley and Lucas with the St Johnís goals.

Skyvalley Rovers

Roversí U-16s had a 2-0 win over league leaders Ballinagare last week; their goals were scored by Jack Parson and Mark Richardson. That win now moves Rovers to within two points of Ballinagare. The U-14s are also going well and are joint top of their division. Their latest win was a 4-1 victory over Kilkerrin last week. Cathal Shields and Mark Richardson got two goals apiece. Our U-10 As lost 4-2 away to Castlerea Celtic; Eoin Keogh and Caitlin Keogh got the goals. The U-10 Bs lost 5-2 in Lough Harps; Michaela Keogh and Calum Keogh scored for Rovers.
