Golf notes

Athlone Golf Club

We have two big competitions on the horizon. The Hodson Bay Cup is on this coming Sunday and our Captain Michael Cleary’s Prize takes place the following weekend, with the top 10% to qualify from both Saturday and Sunday for the play-off on Sunday evening. Get your golf in shape and then get out there and see if you can keep it that way!

There are still some places in the beginners programme, if you know of anybody who may be interested, contact the club. It’s very easy to get started, and inexpensive.

Ballaghaderreen Golf Club

Next weekend’s Course Development Classic has been postponed until September. Normal Saturday/Sunday competitons instead.
