Athlone Golf Club
Open Week begins on Sunday. With singles competitions every day except Thursday there will be plenty of opportunities to test yourself against an ever-improving golf course. There is also some fantastic value for visitors with golf, a steak and a pint for only €30. This is available for all of Open Week and will continue for Open Wednesdays.
The presentations for open week are planned for Sunday 29th May, Friday 3rd June and Friday 10th June. Our first presentation night was very successful as it was well supported by you, the members, so hopefully this is a sign of things to come. A special thank you to all our sponsors, especially in these difficult economic times.
Meeting every Friday morning, the Gardening Club is making their presence felt and are doing some trojan work. Indeed, to all members who have given of their time to do work on the course and around the clubhouse, thank you. That is what being a member of a club is all about.
The Athlone Golf Club Facebook page is now up and running. There is a link from our webpage www.athlonegolfclub.ie, so let’s see our members, young and old, getting involved.
All our teams – Ladies, Mens and Juniors – are in action over the coming weeks. Please do your best to lend your support.
