It was a good week for our underage teams with all our sides gaining victories. The U-14s maintained their slender 1-point advantage at the top of Division 2 following a victory away to Roscommon Town B. Ruane was on target twice for the U-12s in their 7-2 victory over Castlerea Celtic. Reinhdart with 2, Conor Flynn, Shaun Burke and Cathal Heneghan also got on the score-sheet.
The U-10 B side defeated Lough Harps 4-2. Ethan Conneely, Jack Sullivan, Conor Ruane and Dan Fagan got the goals. The U-10 A side also defeated their Lough Harps counterparts, on a 7-2 scoreline. Daragh Heneghan with 4, Liam Haldane, Adam Burke and Ethan McGinley were on target. The AGM is on Wednesday 25th May at 9 pm in the Community Centre.
Moore’s U14s played CP Ajax and went down 6-1. The will take on Kilkerrin in Falty next Monday in round one of the Challenge Shield at 7 pm. Moore’s U12s travelled to St Johns and were unlucky to go down 3-1. Goal scored for Moore by Keith Grenham. The U12s will take on Dysart next Tuesday at 7 pm in Falty. The U16s played Ballymoe in round 2 of the Challenge Shield on Thursday last and lost 5-2. Goals scored by Mark Nicholson and Sean Dean. The U16s have no match this week. Moore’s U10s took on St Johns last Friday and lost 2-1 in the Europa League but won the Champions League match 4-1. Goals scored for Moore by Daniel Farrell and Brian Sheeran. They are away to Roscommon Southern Wanderers next Friday the 20th in the Europa League at 6.45 pm and Champions League at 7.30 pm.

Birthday boy Mikey Kenny led the celebrations this week as the U-12s beat Moore United by three goals to one with two goals from Dara Kelly and the third from Jordan Cassidy. The outstanding performance on the night was from Cormac Miley in the St John’s goal who broke Moore’s hearts with a string of superb saves. The U14s were beaten by Glen Celtic, Michael Feeley and Conor Fallon both putting in good performances for St John’s. The U-10 boys and girls had a mixed night against Moore United. In the Champions League a Keith Doyle goal couldn’t save John’s from defeat, but in the Europa League Daniel O’Brien scored both goals in a fine 2-1 win. The U10 girls had an excellent win against Ballaghaderreen, Aimee O’Connor netting on four occasions with Emma Silke adding a fifth.
It was a very good week for Skyvalley as they recorded two wins that keep them very much in contention for league and cup honours. They had victories over Kilkerrin in the league and Moore in the cup semi-final. They now play Dysart in the Cup Final in Lecarrow on Sunday May 29th. This will be the third time that these two have met in the Roscommon Cup Final and they have one win each. Rovers U-14s drew 3-3 with Lough Harps last week to stay joint top of their league. Their goals were scored by Kelvin Kelly, Daniel Glynn and Tom Richardson. The U-16s were involved in a tight match against Glen Celtic in the cup. It took a penalty from Sean Dunne in extra-time to put Rovers into the next round. Sean also scored a penalty in the first half and Darren Blackweir got their other goal in a 3-2 win. Rovers U-12s lost 5-0 away to Dysart.
