Roscommon Ladies in league final action this Saturday

Roscommon Senior Ladies: Following their comprehensive victory over Louth in the semi-final on Sunday week last, Roscommon now take on near-neighbours Westmeath in the final of the Division 4 National Football League, in Cusack Park, Ennis on Saturday next at 5 pm.

With their goal of Division 3 football for 2012 achieved, the Roscommon ladies can be in a more relaxed frame of mind heading into the final on Saturday. The last time the two sides met was in the early stages of the league, when Westmeath ran out 0-17 to 2-6 winners in floodlit Coralstown/Kinnegad in mid-March. On that occasion, Roscommon were missing a number of key players, namely the experienced Sinead Cooney (out due to sickness) and Niamh Ward and Cliodhna McHugh (both injured).

If the management team have all players available for selection on Saturday then Westmeath will not have it all their own way on this occasion.

Key player for Westmeath the last day were goalkeeper Christine Warburton, full-back Triona Durcan, Kelly Boyce, Maud Foley, Michelle Malone, Aileen Martin and sharp-shooter Emma Morris. Best of luck to the team and management in the final.

Table Quiz: Roscommon Ladies County Board wish to thank all the clubs
