Win tickets to see Seán Keane in concert

Win tickets to see Sean Keane in concert in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon on April 15th.

This is Sean Keane’s only concert this year and with a line-up that includes Charlie McGettigan and Paul Harrington, it promises to be a great night.

The concert is also raising funds for a very worthy cause, the Irish Pilgrimage Trust in association with the thebigwalk.ie, which is an 850-mile walk that will go from Longford to Hotel Solitude, Lourdes in June. The Irish Pilgrimage Trust (www.irishpilgrimagetrust.com) has been providing assistance and respite care to young adults and children with special needs for a long number of years.

The group has set up a website which may be viewed at www.thebigwalk.ie and there is a donation page on the site. Keep an eye out for them in your area, with €10 raffle tickets. Prizes include, an all expenses paid trip, for two people to Lourdes, kindly sponsored by Joe Walsh Tours and lots of other great prizes.

Seán Keane’s musical voice is unique and his songs encompass a mixture of traditional Irish folk music, pop, blues, and country.

Charlie McGettigan & Paul Harrington of Eurovision fame will make a rare comeback to the stage for one night only.  Solo artist of the year 2010 Marc Roberts will make a very welcome appearance in support of the IHCPT. Paul Gurney from Rig the Jig fame will be playing alongside Longford’s Miss Emer Barry. Also featuring on the night will be Rooskey native Miss Eimear Reynolds; singer/songwriter, Deirdre Doherty and last but not least Miss Laura Reilly who will join Paul on piano.

This is a rare opportunity to see such wonderful talent under one roof and all for a worthy cause. Tickets are just €15, and all proceeds go directly to The Irish Pilgrimage Trust, and are available from Deniston’s and The Music Centre in Longford, Gartland’s Newsagents, Bridge Street, Carrick-on-Shannon or by calling Vinny on (085) 7791567, Tom on (086) 8118550, or John (087) 7634259.
