Junior camógie win

The Junior team got their first win in the Irish Daily Star Division 3 League on Sunday last when they defeated Dublin on a scoreline of Roscommon 3-12 Dublin 2-10.

The U16 county team play Meath on Sunday next, time and venue to be confirmed. U14 Championship Round 2 games did not take place due to waterlogged pitches. All games will be re fixed between clubs over the next couple of weeks.

Round 3 Results: St. Dominic’s defeated Four Roads; Roscommon Gaels defeated Tulsk; Athleague defeated Padraig Pearse’s. Round 4 Fixtures: Tulsk v Four Roads; Oran v Roscommon Gaels; St. Dominic’s v Padraig Pearse’s.

The Senior Spring League commences on Saturday/ Sunday next. Oran takes on Athleague and will have their work cut out against the League Champions. St. Dominic’s also have a stiff task when they take on Four Roads who are taking to the field for the first time since they became All Ireland Junior Club champions.  Time and venues to be confirmed for both games. 

Connacht Camógie are hosting a club forum on Friday 1st April at 6.30 pm in the Claregalway Hotel. Guest of Honour is Joan O Flynn – President of the Camógie Association. Guest Speakers are Mary O Connor on ‘Retaining the teenage player in your Club’, Des Ryan on ‘Fitness Testing the Camógie Player’. Other topics ‘Best way of recruiting Volunteers’.
