Camógie campaign commences in Cavan

Hard Luck to the Convent of Mercy Senior team who were defeated in the All-Ireland school final on Saturday last in Newcastle, Dublin. Well done to all involved who helping getting them to the final and also well done to the girls for all your hard work.

The U16 county team start their campaign at home to Cavan on Saturday next a time and venue to be confirmed. The team will be picked from the following panel: Aine Mears, Sarah Kelly, Michale Craven, Lydia Clayton, Katie Doyle, Ciara Nixon, Nessa Gately, Shannon Reid, Linda Carty, Maedhbh Coyle, Amy Gacquin, Kate Coyle, Rachel Hastings, Ellen Brennan, Orla Quinn, Leanne Connolly, Ciana Kelly, Aoife Grimmes, Celine Fee, Aishling Byrne, Honor Ennis, Emily Comiskey, Katie Carr, Monica Lach, Ann Marie Treacy, Aishling Feeley, Niamh Egan.

The U14 Club championship commences on Saturday next. Oran play Tulsk at 4 pm in Oran. Athleague play St. Dominic’s at 1.45 pm in Athleague’ Four Roads play Roscommon Gaels TBC. Padraig Pearse’s have a bye.

All Clubs with a home venue are asked to contact Karina Jones who is the referee co-ordinator for the U14 Championship and also contact Maeve Healy with the result. 

The Junior team commenced their League campaign when they played Kildare but were defeated on a scoreline of Kildare 0-12 Roscommon 0-6. Their next outing is Meath away on Sunday the 13th March.
