Roscommon senior camogie team begin their national league campaign at home to Kildare in Athleague on Sunday next. Roscommon are managed this year by Bosco Gallagher and following on from the success of the Roscommon team in the Nancy Murray Cup, and the success of Four Roads in the club championship last year and the fact that the Convent of Mercy are in an All-Ireland final this weekend, camogie is certainly on a high in the county at the moment.
The panel is much the same as we have seen playing for Roscommon over the last few years with a few exceptions and there will be a few new young players added to the panel this year. Roscommon have a good record against Kildare in recent years and they should be able to start this season with a league victory. Roscommon will play Meath, Dublin and Armagh in the coming weeks.
