A music session will take place in the Bridge House, Athleague, this Friday night 25th February, and every last Friday night of each month, starting at 10 pm. Musicians, singers, story tellers etc., all welcome on the night. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a night of music song and craic.
St. John’s AGM
St. John’s Parish Heritage Group will hold their 2011 AGM on Wednesday, 2 March at 8 pm in St. John’s Community Centre, Lecarrow. The meeting will be followed by a lecture by Diane R. Dunnigan of NUIM entitled ‘Returning Home: Irish Return Migration to Roscommon and Connacht, 1890-1920'. There is no charge for attending the presentation. Glenamaddy Players will be performing ‘Dancing at Lughnasa’, by Brian Friel at the Town Hall Theatre Glenamaddy on Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th February and Wednesday 2nd March at 8pm.
