Convent aim for camógie final

ALL IRELAND COLLEGES SENIOR D CAMÓGIE SEMI FINAL

Convent of Mercy Secondary School v Presentation Wexford

Saturday, Camross GAA Club, Taghmon, 3pm

The Convent Secondary School Roscommon has a great opportunity to reach an All Ireland final when they take on Presentation Wexford in the All Ireland semi final on Saturday in county Laois.

The team is trained by Teresa Hession, who told People Sport that the team are looking forward to the game. “The girls have worked hard and we are looking forward to the game. We don’t know too much about our opponents but if they are from Wexford and are the Leinster champions they have to be a good side.”

“We have worked very hard and have up to 40 training sessions under our belt although we have a few niggly injuries and hopefully that will have cleared up in time for the game.”

“We hope to have a good crowd of supporters there on the day. The parents have been brilliant so far and they have followed the team all over, so hopefully they will be there in force again on Saturday,” she concluded.

The team comprehensively beat St Mac Dara’s Community School in Templeogue in the quarter final by 2-10 to 0-2.
