The trials for the Roscommon county pool team will be held on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of January in Charlie’s Pub Roscommon town (formerly known as Church Street Station). All players, young and old, new and former, from within the county are welcome. Registration to play in the trials takes place on Saturday 15th January between 11 o’clock and 12.30 with the trials starting at 1 o’clock and the entry fee is 20 euro. Anyone wishing to play can pay on the 15th January or enter by ringing the chairperson Alan Cunningham on 086-3696194 and paying the fee before 12.30 on Saturday 15th. Anyone who cannot make Saturday 15th January can play on Sunday 16th January but they must have their name registered and fee paid on or before Saturday 15th January to Alan Cunningham in the Cosy Bar, Castlerea or Eamonn Smith in Charlie’s Bar, Roscommon Town. There will be two Roscommon county pool teams entered in the All-Ireland series in Ennis, Co. Clare this year. A Roscommon A and Roscommon B team will take part, so there are 22 players who will represent the county.
