The damage was done with a poor first-half display in which Fhailles were the
dominant team and went in at the interval 0-10 to 0-2 ahead. Pearses led by

the badly needed goal never materialised and Fhailles held on for a comfortable
victory.

MINOR
KILBRIDE
U-10: On Sunday our U-10 team played Oran, in the
B-Final of the Oran U-10 Touranment. In the first half Kilbride had the upper
hand; but only just, as every ball was hotly contested. At half-time the Green
and White held a 2 goal advantage.
However, in
the second half this lead was decimated within the opening minutes. So evenly
match were the teams that extra time was called for. At this stage, the
strength of character of the Kilbride boys and girls displayed itself. Oran
went a point up, but our crew dug deep and levelled once again. With less then
a minute to go a glorious point sailed over the bar to give us a well-deserved
win. Commiserations to the Oran side. Final score Kilbride 3-10 Oran 2-12.
Our thanks
once again to the Oran Club for inviting us to take part in their annual
tournament. Well done to all concerned. Thanks also to our trainers Padraig
O’Beirne, Kevin Kenny, Padraig Shanagher and John O’Connor.
