Belarussian children enjoy Strokestown trip

The Strokestown branch of the Friends of the Children of Chernobyl recently brought a group of children from Belarus on a visit to Strokestown Park House. They were presented with tin whistle and harmonica, which they all played, they made plenty of noise and had a great time. Thanks to John O’Driscoll, Margaret Kelly and all the staff in Strokestown Park House.

During the visit, Maureen Mulchron, representing staff of Centra supermarket, presented Marie Connellan, Chairperson of the Friends of the Children of Chernobyl with a cheque for €1,700. This money was collected by staff who did the Women’s Mini Marathon. Also pictured is staff member Ms. Sheila Carolan, proprietor Mr. Frances McDonnell proprietor, translator Natashia and group leader Ann Brennan.
