Interested in starting gardening?

A small group of volunteers developed a Communal Garden vegetable in Mote Park two years ago. The garden has been very successful to date and as there is potential to increase the size we are now inviting interested people to join with us.

The soil is tilled, fertilised and drilled so all the hard work is done. Potatoes are sown by the organisers and sprayed as necessary. Generally people take two drills for vegetables and then they get one of potatoes when ready for harvesting.

The only cost is €25 so it is a very attractive venture. The land is generously donated by the ‘Girl Guides’ as they do not use all of their site in Mote Park. If anyone is interested please call 087-9226810 and arrangements will be made to meet on site.
