Boyle Musical Society will take its place on the world stage in just over a week, when they join in the festivities to celebrate World Music Day, on Thursday June 21st. This very special event will take place in the beautiful surroundings of main salon of King House in Boyle and the concert starts at 8 pm.
As part of the calendar of events taking place in King House over the summer, past and present members of the Boyle Musical Society will reunite to present a Midsummer’s evening of entertainment, featuring a selection of well known, show stopping tunes accompanied by Anne Kielty at the grand piano in the main salon.
The audience will be entertained by chorus and solo performances that will cover favourites from past musicals such as ‘Showboat’ ‘West Side Story’ and ‘Oklahoma’ all the way up to modern shows such as ’Chess’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and of course ‘Beauty and the Beast’. You can also expect to see one or two surprises thrown in!
The cast have been rehearsing for the last number of weeks and this concert promises to be an excellent night’s entertainment. So please come along, your attendance and support will be most welcome.
