Enda Curley from Creggs has been fighting off stiff competition over the last seven weeks on TG4 reality TV show Feirm Factor.
Enda is currently in the final 5 of the competition. Seen as the cheeky chappie, the Creggs native is well able to hold his own and tells the judges what he really thinks. Enda has excelled in a number of tasks and is hotly tipped to take home the prize of the Land Rover Discovery 4.
Feirm Factor is Ireland’s most popular agricultural television series. 12 farmers battle it out in agricultural related tasks to be crowned Ireland’s top farmer and take home a land Rover Discovery 4 with a years insurance From FBD. Feirm Factor is now at the halfway point and the final 5 farmers can now see the prize in their sights.
Enda, 27, runs his own 120 acre suckler and beef farm and completed his Agricultural training in Mountbellew Agricultural College, County Galway. He is Vice Chairman with the Turf Cutter Contractor Association (TCCA) and is a qualified Plumber and a Renewable Technician.
In next week’s episode the remaining five farmers head for the beautiful grounds of Newbridge House and Farm in Donabate, County Dublin.
The business task makes a come back this year with the Entrepreneur Pádraig Ó Céidigh giving the contests a grilling on their business plans.
The farmers are tested one by one on their knowledge of the workings of a PTO shaft and finally, guest judge and veterinary surgeon, Peadar Ó Scanaill, tests the farmers on their knowledge of diseases and ailment effecting Irish farm animals today.
It’s another very tough week and one more farmer leaves the pack!
