Safe Talk Programme in Roscommon

More people die by suicide in Ireland each year than die by road traffic accidents. So what can you do about it?

Roscommon Lions Club in conjunction with the HSE are running a Safe Talk programme which teaches skills on how to identify people in your community, family or workplace who are thinking about suicide.

The training will take place in Gleeson’s Townhouse, The Square, Roscommon on Monday evening the 2nd of April at 7 pm.

The course is for anyone who is interested in learning the skills to reduce suicide in their community including taxi drivers, sport players and coaches, bar staff, parents volunteers, teachers and anyone interested in preventing suicide. The course is free of charge and is certified by the HSE.

If you are interested, contact Mary O’Sullivan on 091-548360 to book your place.
