Soprano duet a treat on Valentine’s day

Treat yourself to the best that music has to offer this Valentine’s Day with a unique once-off performance in Roscommon. The concert takes place in St. Coman’s Church of Ireland, Roscommon, on Sunday, February 14th, 2010 at 7 pm.

Some of your favourite songs from opera, the stage and the world of folk performed by prize-winning sopranos Katie Maher, TCD choral scholar and former soloist with the RTE Concert Orchestra and Gabrielle Mulcahy, a member of TCD Chapel Choir and former member of the Lassus Scholars, accompanied by prize-winning virtuoso Raymond Tedders on piano.

The concert will include music from Mozart, Rossini, Vivaldi, Puccini, Schubert, Moore and many more, this concert promises to be the New Year highlight of the very successful ‘Music in the Monastery Concert Series’, organised by Roscommon town musician, Sean Hanily. Why not come along and treat your loved one to a romantic musical evening with a difference?

The January recital in aid of Convent Primary School, which was cancelled due to adverse weather, is being rescheduled for early Spring, at a date to be confirmed.
